Piggly Wiggly Employees Use Kiosks to Enroll in Medical Benefits
Mount Pleasant, South Carolina - June 4, 2002 - Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company, Inc. and Benefitfocus.com, Inc. announce that Piggly Wiggly employees have made the switch to a paperless open enrollment process for benefits using BluesEnroll. BluesEnroll, powered by Benefitfocus, is the electronic enrollment application offered by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. Piggly Wiggly chose BluesEnroll for electronic enrollment because of its proven usability, its simplicity of design from the users (employees) perspective, the touch-screen kiosk technology advantage and their long- time trust in the leadership at Benefitfocus.
Being an early adopter of this technology is no surprise for Piggly Wiggly. This company is well known for its forward thinking approach while maintaining their small town appeal.
