At Benefitfocus, we are continuously investing in our cloud-based technology and the success of our clients. With a quarterly release cycle that accounts for industry changes, new legislation and, most importantly, feedback from our customer community, we’re committed to delivering enhancements to our technology on a consistent basis. Every enhancement we make serves to improve the way organizations manage benefits – streamlining administrative tasks, providing actionable data insight, and helping employees make more informed health and benefit decisions.
In the 2015 Winter Release, we introduced new tools to better help consumers and administrators extract meaningful insight from their health and benefits data. With the 2016 Spring Release, our customers will gain greater ability to provide a personal and engaging benefits experience.
Featured updates include:
- HSA flexibility. Employers can boost financial wellness participation in the workforce with new options to encourage employee HSA contributions throughout the year—based on life events such as a promotion or marriage. Contributions include initial, ongoing, scheduled or a combination of all contribution methods.
- Mobile transparency. Enhancements to the BENEFITFOCUS® App address the growing preference of today’s workforce to rely on mobile devices for instant information. Employers can now provide employees with mobile, anytime access to their personal total compensation statement, which helps employees see the full value of their compensation package, including “hidden paychecks” such as voluntary benefits and vacation time.
- Expanded insight. BENEFITFOCUS® Advanced Analytics now provides more role-specific insights to evaluate group health plan cost and performance for any time period, giving executives the ability to adapt their strategy more quickly. For example, actuaries and consultants can segment data to report on risk and cost projections for a given plan year, calendar year and all points in between. Wellness coordinators can monitor the effectiveness of their programs at any frequency.
- Billing efficiency. Benefitfocus eBilling™ enhancements enable additional support for insurance carriers and their clients, and provide additional security measures to protect sensitive client records. For carrier customer support specialists, the new “consumer view” mirrors what the consumer sees, and can help quickly resolve customer support issues. Additional security enhancements include even more granular permission levels to help safeguard sensitive records without compromising support.
