Loud Music and Feet Moving

Below is an email I sent to all Benefitfocus associates

That knob on your stereo in your car is there so that you can turn up the music loud. Every now and then you need to crank that darn thing up until it won’t go any higher and just rock out for goodness sake. In my car it has some number thing to tell me how high it is going and it goes to 60 and then says “Max”. When I see “Max”, I know I’ve got it set right. And when you get that baby cranked all the way up there, you should start to feel your feet moving around a little bit. As a matter of fact, one day on my way in to work I had the song "Eminence Front" all cranked up and I was bouncing around in my car at a stoplight. This voice came into my head and said, “Dude, you need to get out right now and dance around your car.” I hesitated a bit, but then just put that baby into park, opened the door and got out with the music blaring and danced around in the intersection (on HWY 17). Now people were looking and some lady shielded her kids' eyes in fear, but I’ll tell you, I had fun that day.

So come on folks, you need to crank up that music more often and get those feet a moving. Each day is a gift, each friendship a treasure and each song a reason to dance. Who the heck cares what you look like? Just have some fun and let yourself go every now and then. It will relieve stress, make you smile, scare some people and set you apart.
