Kristin Adams

Chief People Officer

Kristin joined the Benefitfocus team in April 2022 as Chief People Officer (CPO). Her passion is all things people and culture. She enjoys collaborating with teams going through periods of change and transformation. Motivated by making “moments that matter” for employees and their families simpler, she loves to find new ways to remove the complexity so employees can focus on what’s important to them.

Responsibilities

Kristin brings a wealth of human resources expertise to this role. She will lead our people strategy with a focus on talent acquisition, development and retention, corporate culture, diversity, inclusion and belonging (DIB), employee compensation and benefits, and organizational structure.

Street Cred

Kristin graduated from Hofstra University with degrees in Management and Psychology. The study of both people and organizational dynamics always fascinated her, leading her into a successful career in HR. Kristin spent the last 22 years at Morgan Stanley in various leadership roles including Global HR Chief Operating Officer, Head of Talent Acquisition and head of HR for several business units. Before that, she worked for several best-in-class organizations, such as Lehman Brothers and Proskauer. She believes that talented, engaged and diverse teams are the foundation for any success.

Hobbies & Interests

Kristin likes to walk. A lot. When she’s not hitting her 10,000 steps a day (a healthy habit she picked up during the pandemic), she’s herding her husband and boys into the family RV for a faraway soccer tournament or a Penn State football game. But her all-time favorite activity, you ask? Relaxing with her beloved pup, Sammie (the only other girl in her house).

Inspiration

“It always seems impossible until it’s done,” wise words from Nelson Mandela drive Kristin’s passion to take charge and get the job done.
