Ana Perez is our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Ana joined the team in August 2021 bringing a strong strategic focus on enhancing the Benefitfocus brand, accelerating growth, and cultivating customer engagement. She is a data-driven marketing leader and drives her teams to deliver tangible value to the business. Ana leads with authenticity, living by Brene Brown’s words, “Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” Her transparency and vulnerability as a leader inspire her teams to achieve success while contributing to a positive culture.
As the CMO, Ana manages all aspects of Benefitfocus’ brand, demand generation and customer advocacy efforts. This includes our public relations, internal communications, solution marketing, events and go-to-market strategies.
Ana received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Boston University and her Master in Business Administration from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. She brings more than 15 years of experience in the health and benefits industry, most recently led product marketing, sales enablement and solution consulting at League (a health and benefits engagement platform). Prior to League, she led marketing for Aon’s Health and Benefits business, where she helped launch the Aon Private Health Exchange and supported Aon’s consulting and benefits administration businesses.
Hobbies and Interests
Most weekends, you can find Ana cheering her kids on at their sports games or dance recitals. If she’s not there, she’s breaking a sweat on her Peloton, savoring the last bites of her husband’s latest culinary creation or choosing a destination for their next family trip.
Ana is inspired by helping others. She has spent her entire career in pursuit of an organization dedicated to improving health care and delivering the best possible experience for its customers. She’s invigorated by Benefitfocus’ vision to do just this.
