When Annmarie Fini joined Benefitfocus more than 20 years ago, the company had a vision and an idea of a product but no customers yet on board. Imagine taking a risk with a tech start-up 20 years ago right as the dot com bubble was bursting, not knowing what the future may hold.
In the years since, Annmarie has played a significant role in shaping nearly every aspect of our business and growth, from product and strategy to customer success. As the Executive Vice President of Customer Success, Annmarie now oversees our customer growth, retention and most importantly operational excellence. Her more than a quarter century of experience in health plans and benefit administration software provides her a unique understanding of customer needs.
Roles & Responsibilities
Seeking to always first learn, Annmarie knows how crucial listening is to her role at Benefitfocus. She is responsible for the end-to-end customer experience post-sales. She has led our Customer Success Team to increased automation and improved data quality during her time at Benefitfocus and pioneered the creation of our customer community and advisory councils.
Annmarie holds a Bachelor of Arts in public policy from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Making the wise choice to move to a much more tolerable climate, Annmarie packed up after graduating and headed to sunny Charleston, South Carolina, where she is a prominent figure in local community activities and mentoring. Annmarie also serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina.
Hobbies & Interests
When not hiking or running, Annmarie hops on her beloved Peloton for a quick ride. Her husband and family are her No. 1 fans, but her precious dog Birdie also cheers – err, barks – her on!
