When an illness or injury affects an employee’s ability to make a living, Disability Income Coverage provides benefits to replace a portion of their paycheck for the duration of their illness or through the maximum time allotted by the policy. They may need to meet certain conditions to be eligible for benefits, such as completing a waiting period.

• Short Term Disability Income Coverage Offers employees benefits to replace a portion of their weekly earnings up to the maximum number of weeks allowed by the Policy in the event they can’t work because of an eligible illness or injury.
• When a disability lasts longer than Short Term Disability coverage, Long Term Disability Income Insurance replaces part of their paycheck for the duration of their disability or to normal retirement age.

Additional advantages

• The Voya Employee Benefits Resource Center (EBRC) was designed to make finding Disability benefits information and filing claims accessible and approachable – especially important during what may be a very stressful time. The EBRC helps claimants understand how they can start their claim, as well as the steps that need to be taken when they may be taking leave due to a disability.
• Disability Income Coverage is available as a stand-alone product or with the addition of Voya Leave Management, which gives employers an integrated leave management process that can help reduce administrative burden.
